The Frugal Off Grid Land Locator is Step 2 in the four-step off-grid land system.
Everyone can use the Land Locator free up to three times per day. The optional Land Locator Pass removes that daily limit and unlocks unlimited searches.
The Pass is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription.
Step 1 is starting with the county. Once you have a county or region that may work for your goals, Step 2 is finding land inside that area.
That is where the Land Locator comes in.
Why I Created the Land Locator
Most land search websites are built around listings that agents, sellers, and platforms want to show you.
That does not always mean they are good at helping you find the kind of overlooked, affordable, less obvious land that may actually work for a frugal off-grid project.
The Land Locator uses search terms, keywords, and land-search patterns I developed while researching off-grid properties myself.
It is designed to help you search in a more focused way, so you can uncover land opportunities that may be harder to find through normal browsing.
Free Use vs. The Land Locator Pass
The Land Locator is free to use three times per day.
That is enough for casual research, testing the tool, or getting familiar with how it works.
The Land Locator Pass is for people who are searching more seriously and want to keep working without the daily limit.
The Land Locator Pass is useful if you want to:
Search for land more actively
Compare multiple counties or regions
Look through more possible properties in one sitting
Reduce the friction of repeated land research
Use the Land Locator as part of a serious land search
If three searches per day are enough for the way you are researching land, you do not need the Pass.
What Happens After Purchase
After purchase, the Land Locator Pass unlocks unlimited searches on the same Land Locator tool.
Nothing about the search process changes. The Pass simply removes the three-search-per-day limit so you can continue researching properties without waiting for the daily limit to reset.
One purchase unlocks unlimited Land Locator searches. There is no recurring subscription.
Before You Search for Land
I still recommend starting with the county before falling in love with a property.
Cheap land is not always good land. County rules, zoning, access, water options, road conditions, and legal use matter just as much as price.
The Land Locator is designed to help you find properties. It does not replace the research that should happen before you buy one.

The Land Locator is one part of the larger four-step off-grid land system. The Land Locator Pass is simply an optional upgrade for people who want unlimited searches during Step 2.
Step 1: Choose a county
Use the Off-Grid County Directory to research counties where your plans may be workable.
Step 2: Find land
Use the Land Locator to search for available property in the county or region you selected. Use it free up to three times per day, or use the optional Land Locator Pass for unlimited searches.
Step 3: Do your due diligence
Use the Land Selection Checklist to verify a promising property before you buy.
Step 4: Build your homestead
Move into shelter, water, food, power, income, and the long-term systems that support the life you are building.
The goal is not just to find cheap land.
The goal is to find land that can actually support the life you are trying to build.
