I often get asked how to build a very cheap solar system. Well, this is about as cheap as it gets while maintaining quality gear.
Buy used solar panels maybe 600 watts is a good start. I've bought 260w panels for $60 ea used.
These are good batteries that are pretty cheap $215 ea or less in a bundle. You should start with at least 2 but 4 would be best. I'll attach a picture of the one I would get. (Click the image)
