Frugal Off Grid Tea, Black Powder Tonic, and Older Products

Frugal Off Grid Tea, Black Powder Tonic, and Older Products

When I first started Frugal Off Grid more than six years ago, I was experimenting with many different ways to create income from the homestead while building a simpler and more sustainable life.

One of those approaches was creating small-batch products I personally enjoyed using, including herbal teas, corn flour, and the Black Powder Tonic blend.

Over time, Frugal Off Grid evolved more toward structured off-grid education, land research tools, practical systems, and long-term infrastructure.

Because of that shift, these older physical products have now been discontinued.

I still appreciate everyone who supported those early products. They genuinely helped support the homestead during the early years while I was building systems, experimenting, and trying to make this lifestyle sustainable long term.

Can you still make these yourself?

Yes.

Most of these were intentionally simple blends made from ingredients that are still easy to source individually.

Many people use Amazon for smaller quantities, while others prefer larger herbal suppliers or bulk ingredient companies.

Below are the original ingredient concepts for people who still want to experiment with them on their own.

Red Tea

Rose petals
Lemon balm
Hibiscus

Blue Tea

Butterfly pea flower
Lavender
Lemon balm

Green Tea

Camellia sinensis
Chamomile
Spearmint

Corn Flour

I simply used organic whole sweet corn and ground it into flour.

Black Powder Tonic

Beet root powder
Turmeric powder
Ginger powder
Garlic powder
Black pepper
