I posted my sixth annual homestead update today.
This one is simple. It is a clear look at what six years alone off-grid has actually looked like, what has held up, what has changed, and what I am working on next.
Living off-grid alone for six years has taught me a lot about what actually works and what people often misunderstand about this lifestyle.
This annual update is where I step back and share what changed this year, what systems are holding up, and what I am building next.
If you are new here, welcome. If you have been watching for a long time, thank you for sticking with me. I try to keep these updates honest and practical, because real off-grid life is not a highlight reel.

What this update covers
- What daily life looks like after six years out here
- What systems have worked long term, and what did not
- What I am improving this year on the land and around the homestead
- What I would do differently if I were starting over
- What I think matters most if you want stability off-grid
A note for beginners
If you are just starting to think about off-grid life, my main advice is to build slowly and in the right order.
Most people get overwhelmed because they try to do everything at once, or they build based on pressure instead of structure. It works better when you build one calm system at a time.
