When I moved off the grid to start my homestead in the middle of the high desert, I knew there were a few products I wanted to produce myself on my Homestead. I needed a source of flour for baking that I could grow myself. Corn grows native out here and I decided that it would be a great staple on my Homestead. Get yours now
I take pride in my ability to bake. It's something my mom taught me to do when I was a kid. When I bake now, it reminds me of her and my childhood. The other day I posted a video of the process you can watch it here: Frugal Off Grid Banana nut cornbread
Or simply use the recipe below.
Makes two loafs simply cut the recipe in half to make one loaf.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
1 Cup white flour
3 Cups corn flour
1 Cup sugar
2 Cups milk
1 Cup walnuts
4 Eggs
4 Teaspoons baking powder
4 Bananas
1/2 Stick butter
Pinch of salt
